RE:SOURCE
9.15 - 4.30pm AboutRE:SOURCE is a unique furniture and appliance reuse centre with a purpose built showroom and workshops. The centre is based in Bodmin, Cornwall, and accepts donations of used furniture and domestic appliances. The RE:SOURCE centre is distinctive in its approach and challenges the perception of second hand by presenting good quality products in a modern and attractive environment. Items deemed beyond repair or unfit for re-sale are stripped for usable parts, before being disposed of in an environmentally conscious manner. This process not only diverts countless tonnes of bulky waste from landfill, but also provides the local community with low-cost, high quality products. In addition to reused products the centre sells ranges of shop seconds or returned goods, environmentally friendly products such as Ecover refills and jute shopping bags; as well as designer and collectable furniture items. BackgroundRE:SOURCE received funding from the following organisations in order to get the project started and fund it through its first year : The centre officially opened in June 2007, and is currently working towards financially self-sustaining the core operations. Key Services

Achievements More than 3000 items donated to RE:SOURCE since opening in July 2007.
